Ballet West’s dynamic spring production opens with the Utah premiere of George Balanchine’s lush and romantic Emeralds to music by Gabriel Faure. The program continues with the long-awaited return of Marius Petipa’s Grand Pas from Paquita, an exciting work of classical variations set to the music of Ludwig Minkus. Rounding out the program is the Utah premiere of Jiri Kylian’s sensual work of genius, Petite Mort, set to two of Mozart’s most beautiful and popular piano concertos.

Run time: 2 hours with 2 intermissions.

Recommended for ages 8 and up. No babes in arms. All patrons must have a ticket regardless of age.

Warm-Ups
In conjunction with our performances, Ballet West offers Warm-Ups. These exciting and informative discussions are free of charge to ticket holders and begin promptly one hour prior to each evening and matinee performance. Get the inside scoop on the program, including background on the ballets, information on the choreographers and personal insights of the artists. A member of the Ballet West artistic staff will take time to explain the history, style and origination of the production and will answer any questions that the audience may have. Come early for behind-the-scenes talk at Ballet West's Warm-Ups.
